With the growing number of tourists visiting the beautiful Scottish capital, accommodation to house these visitors is becoming more and more of a priority and as a consequence new hotels are being built. One example of this is a brand new hotel in Rose Street in the heart of the city.
With the project nearing the end of its completion and the hotel due to open in August, our remit at EdinburghClean.co.uk has been to clean all of the windows on the building. The finishing work to the surrounding stone work and frames meant that the windows have needed a lot of sealant, render, and building dust removed from the glass and frames to ensure that they look their best for the official opening. Our remit includes work from access lifts so as to effectively and efficiently clean glass panes and their surrounds.
While the hotel is in a great location for tourists, as it is surrounded by food and drink venues, the access for construction workers and window cleaners like ourselves is a little troublesome. Add into the mix the fact that Rose Street is being partially pedestrianised and the frequency of passing delivery vehicles who service the high number of bars and restaurants in the area, and this job could be a logistical nightmare!
